In Charge Poem


Here is a poem I had to write for a writing class...

In Charge Poem

If I were in charge of the world,
There would be no more hunger or pain,
People wouldn’t use others for gain,
There would be no divorce or affairs,
The world would be filled with prayers,
If I were in charge of the world.

If I were in charge of the world,
Every child could learn,
Every father would earn,
Water will never be wasted,
Food will always be tasted,
If I were in charge of the world.

If I were in charge of the world,
The homeless would have a home,
The orphan would not be alone,
Brothels wouldn’t be here,
Every child held dear,
If I were in charge of the world.
If I were in charge of the world,
No babies would die to abortion,
Life would not be in distortion.
There would be no murderers or thieves,
And no one would ever grieve,
If I were in charge of the world.

If I were in charge of the world,
Life would be like an adventure,
Into the world everyone venture.
Love would reign over all,
All would heed the Lord’s call,
If I were in charge of the world.

If I were in charge of the world,
I would never be in charge,
For the future is unknown and large.
God ordained the world to be
It will be perfect in eternity.
God is in charge of the world.

Hearing Their Silent Cries

In a country where freedom is foremost, rights are an extremely important topic in America. The Declaration of Independence states that “All men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” PETA, Planned Parenthood, and the Law of the Land are all very concerned about upholding rights. For PETA, an animal’s rights are of the highest importance, whereas for Planned Parenthood, women’s rights are its focus. The Law of the Land has very peculiar views on how to ensure and protect the rights of all. Many people are rightfully outraged at the abuse and deaths of innocent children and defenseless animals and therefore lobby for their rights. However, is America doing all it can to defend the most vulnerable within its’ borders?

First, People for the Ethnical Treatment of Animals, or PETA for short, believes that an animal deserves rights. “PETA believes that animals shouldn’t be used for food, clothing, entertainment, or experimentation” (PETA). “Radical PETA members think that saving animals is far more important than human life” (Can Tran). Although saving and caring for animals is a noble mission, human life should not rank above that of a laboratory rat. “In 2008, PETA rescued 2,216 animals” (Bukisa). “However, an average of 1.6 million babies are aborted every year” (U.S. Abortion Statistics). PETA elevates the life of a laboratory rat above that of a defenseless human being.

“Second, Planned Parenthood is the nation’s leading sexual and reproductive health care advocate and provider. Their goal is to improve women’s health and safety, prevent unintended pregnancies, and advance the rights and abilities of individuals and families to make informed and responsible choices” (Planned Parenthood). Planned Parenthood’s main goal is to protect woman’s health and her rights. Planned Parenthood is pro-choice meaning that they believe women should make their own choices regarding their bodies and that they should have the right to choose abortion. If a woman has an unplanned pregnancy, she should be able to deal with her body and the fetus however she wants to, at her own convenience. There is one contradictory aspect of protecting women’s rights that Planned Parenthood neglects. Roughly half the babies aborted are female. Planned Parenthood cannot protect women’s rights while aborting female babies. How does America protect the rights of dead females?
Finally, the Law of the Land has peculiar views on how to uphold and defend rights, and prosecute the murder and abuse of children and animals. “The penalty for first degree murder of a human being is life-long imprisonment or the death sentence” (Law for Kids). “The penalty of willfully, maliciously, and, without cause or excuse, kill, torture, mutilate, maim, or disfigure an animal, or administer poison to an animal would be a maximum fine of $5,000 for a single animal and an additional $2,500 for every additional animal involved” (Animal Abuse Penalty). Certainly killing or abusing children and animals is a horrible crime and it should be rightly punished. The cries of children and animals ring in our ears as the news shows us yet another horrible tragedy. But what about the millions of babies aborted? Who hears their silent cries? The intentional murder of millions of babies by abortion every year goes on unheard and unpunished.

In conclusion, America’s views on life are horribly confused. Elevating animals’ rights above a human being’s is a very contorted view. Planned Parenthood’s goal of protecting women’s health while killing female babies is also contradictory. The Law of the Land also punishes murderers and those who abuse children and animals, but at the same time willfully protects a woman who chooses to take the life of her child, and the doctor who performs the abortive procedure. Babies should be America’s priority since they are Her next generation, and Her most vulnerable citizens. Sadly, they are killed for convenience. America ignores the cries of the little ones calling out for justice.

Amazed by Creation




God's creation is amazing!
I am continually blown away by
everything in this world that
was spoken into being by God.
Just think that every thing
God made is vital to our
living and that everything
is bringing glory to HIM.

Do not worry about tomorrow


I've been reminiscing on my trip
to Jamaica that I took two winters
ago. I am so blessed to have a
family that loves me and that I
have a personal relationship with
Jesus Christ. I love how we are told
not to worry about what tomorrow
will bring. Matthew 6:25-34 says...

"25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[a]?
28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Trust in God with all your wants and needs

Amazing Grace


Amazing Grace how sweet the sound,
that saved a wretch like me.

Happiness


Happiness is underated and
overthinked most of the time.
The definition of Happiness is
feeling or showing pleasure or
contentment. I think today's
world thinks that to be happy
we need things.
The definition of content
is being in a state of peacful
happiness. They link to each
other. To be truly happy, we
need God first and foremost.
We need to be thankful for
what He has given us.
We are so incredibly blessed.

Notes from the TILT-A-WHIRL


I am reading an amazing book by N.D. Wilson
called NOTES from the TILT-A-WHIRL.

He writes;

"What is the best of all possible feelings? What
is the best of all possible things? What is the
best of all possible creatures? Clearly, the best
of all possible feelings is the one that comes
when the agony of too much time in the car
with an overextended bladder has finally been
alleviated. Such swedet relief remains unparalleled.
The best of all possible things is obviously a
toothpick. Or a solar system. Are solar systems
things? Do they qualify? What are we talking about?
The platypus is quite clearly the best currently living
creaturem, but it is not the best of all possible
creatures. In addition to its mammalian, egg-laying,
duck-billed, web-footed, amphibious life, it also
could have ahd bat wings, sonar and the ability to
fire explosions out of its rear like a bombardier beetle.
To speak frankly, i feel that a creative opportunity was
missed."

He has a creative and unique style to his writing. He
is genius in his way of looking at the world as the
world does and as it should. I encourage you to read
this awesome book and look closer at God's glory!
