Kevin

Kevin is the little boy I sponsor through
Compassion. He is ten years old and is a
little sweet heart! I absolutely love him!
He wants to be a lawyer when he grows
up and loves to draw and play soccer! He
loves dogs and just got a puppy that he
named Tarzan! Kevin has a love for God
and is always praying for me and my
family! Kevin has a love for life and through
sponsoring him, I have learned not to
take anything for granted! Sponsoring
Kevin is a gift from God that I am SO
thankful for each and every day!
God bless!

Abortion!

Abortion is a major topic in today's world. Pro-choice advocates
believe that if a woman gets pregnant, she should decide if she
wants the baby or if she want's to abort it. Pro-life advocates on
the other hand believe that a baby in the womb is a living human
being and has a right to live.

Those for pro-choice believe that a woman is in control of her
body. They believe that a fetus is not a living human being but a
mass of tissue. They believe that abortion is quick and safer than
childbirth. They argue that every child should be a wanted child
and that if the child is not wanted, it could be abused or
neglected. Pro-choice advocates believe that a woman is in
control of her own body and if she is pregnant, she should be
able to deal with the baby how she wants. Many believe that
abortion is wrong but that a woman should have her rights even
if it means the death of her baby.

Roughly 4,000 babies are aborted every day. Pro-life
proponents want to dramatically reduce this statistic and make
it so there are no statistics. Abortion, plain and simple, is the
taking of a life. It is a decision that a woman lives with for the
rest of her life. When young girls get pregnant, and choose to
give their baby a chance for life, they then have to choose between
raising the child or putting the child up for adoption. Some who
choose to raise their baby are still in school. To raise a child,
money is needed to purchase things the child needs such as clothes,
diapers, food, medications, toys, etc. To get the money, some of
the girls must drop out of school to get a job to support themselves
and the baby. Even then, it still isn’t always enough. A good
alternative is to place the baby up for adoption. Young mothers
may realize that they realistically cannot provide the best for their
baby so they choose to give the child to a loving family who can.
In pro-life, mothers know that they are doing what is best for their
baby.

I believe that choosing life is by far the better choice for both the
child and mother. with abortion, the baby is not given a chance for
life and the mother must live with her decision for the rest of her life.
In choosing life for the baby, by either raising the baby or through
adoption, the mother is putting her baby first, accepting responsibilty
for her decision, and making a difficult, but loving choice.

God bless!
