Notes from the TILT-A-WHIRL

I am reading an amazing book by N.D. Wilson
called NOTES from the TILT-A-WHIRL.

He writes;

"What is the best of all possible feelings? What
is the best of all possible things? What is the
best of all possible creatures? Clearly, the best
of all possible feelings is the one that comes
when the agony of too much time in the car
with an overextended bladder has finally been
alleviated. Such swedet relief remains unparalleled.
The best of all possible things is obviously a
toothpick. Or a solar system. Are solar systems
things? Do they qualify? What are we talking about?
The platypus is quite clearly the best currently living
creaturem, but it is not the best of all possible
creatures. In addition to its mammalian, egg-laying,
duck-billed, web-footed, amphibious life, it also
could have ahd bat wings, sonar and the ability to
fire explosions out of its rear like a bombardier beetle.
To speak frankly, i feel that a creative opportunity was
missed."

He has a creative and unique style to his writing. He
is genius in his way of looking at the world as the
world does and as it should. I encourage you to read
this awesome book and look closer at God's glory!
God bless!

Everyone must breathe

Here are some amazing lyrics from http://www.myspace.com/reginaspektor
song "On the Radio". Check out her site.

This is how it works
You're young until you're not
You love until you don't
You try until you can't
You laugh until you cry
You cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe
Until their dying breath

I absolutely love these lyrics.
It's so honest. People want to think
that they are in charge of their lives
but sadly they can't control the
universe. God has made us dependant
on Him. "Everyone must breathe until
their dying breath"

God bless!

Don't take things for granted

Our nation is so blessed! Everything we have we take for
granted. Our food, clothing, cities, even family... all this
is taken for granted. Imagine being a mother and waking
up your children in a little shack surrounded by garbage.
They are crying for food but you have nothing to give them.
You mix salt with water to give them some taste and
something to fill their little stomachs. That is normal in
third world countries. In America, we complain if we don't
have food whenever we feel like it. We expect to wake up
tomorrow and there will be food, clothes and a home
ready for us, just like today. No, we must realize that
what we have, God has given us.

So... what can we do??? First and foremost we can pray...
pray for the people in countries where food is NOT taken
for granted, pray that we as a country will not take things
for granted but share what we have in abundance. And
give, donate food, clothes or time to local organizations
that help the poor. Also thank God for what He HAS
given you! God bless
