In Charge Poem

Here is a poem I had to write for a writing class...

In Charge Poem
Lily Fluharty 9

If I were in charge of the world,
There would be no more hunger or pain,
People wouldn’t use others for gain,
There would be no divorce or affairs,
The world would be filled with prayers,
If I were in charge of the world.

If I were in charge of the world,
Every child could learn,
Every father would earn,
Water will never be wasted,
Food will always be tasted,
If I were in charge of the world.

If I were in charge of the world,
The homeless would have a home,
The orphan would not be alone,
Brothels wouldn’t be here,
Every child held dear,
If I were in charge of the world.
If I were in charge of the world,
No babies would die to abortion,
Life would not be in distortion.
There would be no murderers or thieves,
And no one would ever grieve,
If I were in charge of the world.

If I were in charge of the world,
Life would be like an adventure,
Into the world everyone venture.
Love would reign over all,
All would heed the Lord’s call,
If I were in charge of the world.

If I were in charge of the world,
I would never be in charge,
For the future is unknown and large.
God ordained the world to be
It will be perfect in eternity.
God is in charge of the world.

God bless!
~Lily
